First the pex pipe and now the furnace, what is next?! (Knock on Wood).

My furnace was heating the house just fine until about 4 days ago when I noticed it had not kicked on in a while. I went down the hall and looked to make sure it was on. it was. I adjusted the Temp to higher and heard what sounded like a vibration in the attic above me. I thought that i might have had the temp to low for it to kick on but then a couple seconds went by and it turned off without blowing any air. I went into the attic and it looks like the pilot light is not getting started. is there anyone out there that has had this issue? hoping it is a simple fix. It is a Carrier Furnace 58sta.

Crap now my toilet base is leaking... wow, the knocking on wood didn't work. :wall: I will see if I can fix that myself.

It sounds like your supply fan is not working like it seized up.. You need to first verify air movement by turning your stat to fan on, to make sure the fan is working... Owners manual below.
