Comcast cable internet works. It's a little pricey but they have decent service in the area.

It is my understanding that only a couple of neighborhoods have AT&T out here. I use Comcast, the product is pretty good, customer service is okay, not great, my hubby is a gamer and we were paying for the most expensive one for years but recently dropped to the second level with no problems (the games apparently don't always work if the speed isn't fast enough, but the second level one is apparently just fine). We also stream movies and tv via netflix and hulu without problems.

The options at our place are AT&T DSL and Comcast and we've had both. While it costs more, I've found the quality and speed of the Comcast service is worth the extra cost.

I believe some areas of Cobblestone/Stonebridge may have AT&T U-verse available, so you might check on that as well.

We had At&t Uverse where we lived before and it is awesome! Comcast pales in comparison to Uverse, but it's our only choice for now. Comcast is very outdated as far as I can see. We had a whole home DVR with Uverse and could watch recorded tv and pause live tv from any tv in the house. Comcast does have a very good On Demand library so we don't have to record as many of our shows now.

With a large yard and swimming pool to take care of now, we sure do watch less tv though! LOL!

I know this is a little old but I would never use Comcast for TV service. Internet on the other hand, there is no better than Comcast. If AT&T barely reaches out here, I would avoid it. DSL has a distance limit, you might not get advertised speeds if we are at the end of the limit.

Stonebridge as in Cobblestone? I live here and I have AT&T. Are you on the side by the model homes then? Maybe they didn't get their lines in that street, but then again, if you can get dial tone, you should be able to get DSL. They work over the same lines. Don't understand why they said you couldn't get DSL. I'd call again.

DSL has a distance limit. we are most likely at the end of that distance. Unless AT&T installs a new switching center in our neighbor hood I doubt things will change.

Yes, you are correct. I wasn't thinking of distance when I responded. That sucks. AT&T needs to upgrade our area then! People need service up here too!
