The term reservation shopping is funny. Like the Native Americans are trying to buy their car that was stolen back from the thief.

Interesting the only ones the mention putting up money and opposition are other casinos and Cheryl Schmidt and her group that runs from county to county sticking their nose in resort business that has zero to do with them. Schmidt needs to worry about her own area and leave ours alone!

Letters to the governor in support are very important as Governor Brown is going to make a decision in the next month or two. They can be short just letting him know you support our resort.

Our county is broke and its unemployment rate is comparable to a 3rd world country. The least I can do is E-Mail the governor.

Any suggestions on which category to place the comment under??

When I emailed him before on this subject he did receive it. I put it under OTHER and then titled it Yuba County Resort Casino. Hoping he receives a huge amount of them. We will be putting some kind of community support event soon. I will post with details as we get them worked out :-)

Will send my standard message first thing in the morning. I have sent messages to Brown and Feinstupid a number of times...I intend to keep it up :)

Did you get feinsteins typical generic letter back telling you that she will have to agree to disagree with you? lmao

Yes, I have a couple of those. That's okay, I agree to disagree with her that she deserves my vote.

It is definitely ironic and could even be considered a little insulting (from a native american point of view).

I say build the stupid thing already. Do people really think that our town is going to be overrun by prostitutes and degenerates? I didn't see Lincoln or Shingle Springs overrun after their casinos were built. The last time I looked, Yuba county had something like a 22% unemployment rate, and this casino will add literally thousands of jobs. Also, those workers need somewhere to live, so our home values would almost certainly rise to the occasion. I've thought about it a lot, and I really can't find any good reason to oppose it, especially in this economy. Its like looking a gift horse in the mouth.

First let me say.... I would like to see it built

Now that that's outta the way..... The casinos built near Lincoln and Shingle Springs are not going to be as effected (by your above statement), like the one built next to Olivehurst/Linda.....

Just realized that the system changed the word "w h o r e s" to "night walker" automatically. Hilarious. I changed it to prostitute, let's see if that works.

It will actually be built closer to Plumas Lake and Wheatland than Linda or Olivehurst. I go to these casinos and the tales that they try to beat into people about all these bad things happening... just does not happens.

Today is the deadline for Gov. Brown to approve building of the enterprise rancheria resort.

I've been checking all the sites and still no news. Anyone have any connections with an inside word? If Gov. Brown says no. It will just cement the Dems complete disregard for getting this economy going again. It starts at the local level. I've already sent multiple emails in support to the governor's office, hopefully a county resident's vote is worth more the Diane Feinstein's.

I also believe that he has an option to extend the decision 180 days, which could move the decision final into 2013.

Wouldn't surprise me! Pull an Obama and do it after the election! Hoping not to lose votes for his tax hike!

Can you source that? Since all newspapers articles for the past couple months have said that today is the drop dead date.
