Drove by the River Landing (across from Eufay on east side of River Oaks Blvd) neighborhood and saw that someone is going to start building new homes. I know the 78 lots had been for sale ($1.4M) for a long time, so not sure who the home builder is going to be, but probably not Homes by Towne. We need more new houses! So only positive comments for all prospective residents, lets not try to scare anyone away.

Links to the 2 models. Personally, I think they are shooting a little high, unless the interiors are really nice, they also do get tile roof, which was an upgrade in the new KB homes. But if they can sell those homes, I'll be ecstatic.

Good news...I was always hoping that they wouldn't start building apartments and duplexes on those vacant lots.

Beware! This contractor has a history of ignoring what the planning commission has approved, doing what they want in violation of the approvals, then getting it approved retroactively! They "thumb their nose" at government. Do we really want them building here in Plumas Lake?

Graham is not the name of the developer building in PL so I don't see the relevance here.

If it is the same company, based on the article you linked, I would have no problem with him building in PL... not following a RECOMMENDATION is not a crime. If the Planning commission in Marysville wanted a specific color (which is rather chicken chit if you ask me) they should have demanded such rather than just making a recommendation.

Just because somebody recommends I do one thing or another doesn't mean that I have to.

Edit to add.... looks like Graham and Mescher are partners in Larjer Inc. afterall. I still stand by the balance of the statement above.

Well the enforcement from the "architectural review board" and CC&R's in the Cobblestone Development are a joke. If you read the fine print. You are supposed to have trees in your front yard, selected from a list of approved trees. You cannot expand your driveway greater than the size of garage you have. Your fence can only be a certain color. You are required to install/landscape your backyard, and on-and-on. Basically, if you don't have an HOA, good luck enforcing any of these issues.

Oh and don't get me started on county ordinances and the lack of enforcement.

I follow these rules I only hope others do the same and maintain their property. I poured concrete and laid sod within the first week of moving in, I was unaware of the concrete past your garage deal, I guess it makes sense. It would nice to see less cars, boats, and trailers in the roads and driveways.

I extended the driveway over to the property line and then poured concrete all the way to the back of the house... approx 65' - 70' feet behind fence.

I am somewhat of a rebel though.

About the driveway I'm not sure if all neighborhoods in PL have the same requirments to widen driveways but I know the county requires a driveway encroachment permit and I was allowed to widen up to a tottal of 30 feet wide of driveway at my residence. They only care about the area between sidewalk and street. Everything behind sidewalk has no county easment and you can do as you like as long as runn off and drainage arn't going into your neighbors yard. I also poured concrete to the rear of my house about 70 feet.
