Just want to alert everyone that there was a young (white) male, looked to be in his early 20s, wearing a black hoodie that was behaving suspiciously earlier. I came home from work, pulled into my garage, had my hands full so I walked in, set it down and immediately went back outside (probably 30 seconds, at most). By the time I got back out he was most of the way up my driveway and almost to my garage. When I walked out, he turned around. I asked if I could help and he said his buddy was waiting for him down the street, which didn't clarify why he was walking up my driveway.

I called the Yuba County Sherriff's Department, but I wanted to let you all know too. I'm in one of the Rio Del Oro neighborhoods, but I never know which one (intuitively it should be West but I am not positive where East would be unless it is just the neighborhood on the other side of River Oaks).

Did he come to your door? I don't think he was even trying to come to my door (he was headed the wrong direction). I think he saw my open garage and figured it was an easy target.

Yes, he knocked. My husband said he was selling magazines.

Saturday mid morning, By rio del oro, two young men knocking on doors and peering into garages were questioned by sheriff and another back up officer. Sorry, I do not know outcome of questioning. Hopefully, the two suspects know they are being watched now. Do not hesitate to call sheriff non emergency # 749-7777. They responded quickly to this call. There is "usually" one unit in the area if nothing urgent going on in YS area.

One knocked at my door yesterday, he was selling magazines for some communications skills event in Rio... his story was all twisted and made no sense. Though he might benefit from a comm skills course, I sent him on his way letting him know my usual script of not displaying a Yuba County solicitors permit.
