Apparentley we had some visitors last night. They went through my wives car and stole her GPS along with going through my trailer but nothing in there interested them.

Keep your vehicles locked and watch out for the theiving little bastards.

I really hate making fun of victims, but it is unbelievable that people keep these things in their cars. And then they go ahead and admit that the car was unlocked, too. Why not just leave a pile of cash on your front lawn?

Listen, Pler's:

- If you leave expensive electronics (or wallets or cash or jewlery) in your car, it will get stolen. Particularly if you leave it view or if you LEAVE THE CAR UNLOCKED.

- Dogs will s*&t on your lawn. Deal with it.

- Dogs will bark and keep you up all night. Call the Sheriff's office.

My brother-in-law had some items taken from his truck on late Saturday night or early Sunday morning in Wheeler Ranch.
Along with an ipod, they also took his work binder with his work notes in it. If anyone finds a binder with notes in it, please send me a message. Thanks.

A few of our neighbors in our court were broken into and had a few things missing as well. We're in Independence II.

They do not only steal items in the car, I hear they are also siphoning gas. So do you suggest we keep our gas tanks empty as well? :wtf:

Isn't the gas they're stealing 'in' the car? Isn't the place where the gas is put 'in' the car able to be locked (either factory or by adding a LOCKING gas cap?)?

So, when these teenager's behavior escalates and they start breaking into homes...or let me put it this way, say YOUR home was broken into, based on your comments with regard to cars and gas, it would then be YOUR fault because you didn't have bars on your windows or maybe an alarm system??? :wall:

Since you do not like making fun of victims but wrote a list anyways, why not add putting a locking gas cap on so they cant siphon gas and when the behavior escalates, adding bars to our windows. That would look great wouldn't it... :idea1:

What I did want to say to AprilBella and Blackedoutharley is that a locking gas cap can be popped off with a screwdriver in about 2 seconds...after closer inspection of DH truck, this is exactly what they used to try and pry open his locked, alarmed truck. The problem is not the hard working, tax paying residents of Plumas Lake, it is with the f***** up teenagers that stroll the streets in the middle of the night.

More to the point is it the fact that "parents" are afraid to discipline their children (read: smack them when desperately needed!).

Agreed! My dad never hesitated to smack me when desperately needed and I survived (without stealing or otherwise from my neighbors).
