Today I attended a Stakeholder Meeting on the
Flood Risk Notification Program by the Department of Water Resources. In accordance with AB156 currently codified under the California Water Code Sec 9121 the Department of Water Resources must provide Flood Risk Notifications by September 2010 and annually thereafter to land owners whose property is determined to be entirely or partially within a levee flood protection zone.
In order to provide the clearest and most informative material available. Public outreach professionals are conducting focus groups comprised of local residents. Officials are interested in conducting a focus group from within the South Yuba County area.

You will not be paid, however I believe they said that Pizza was on the State.
For those of you from the older areas of South Yuba County, I hope that you pass on this information to your neighbors or volunteer to participate as the perceptions of those of you that have suffered from floods will add significantly to the process.
